Frequently Asked Questions From Black Cat Mining Customers

Following are the questions we hear more often than most and the answers that go with 'em. If we've missed anything, hit our Contact page and let us know.
  1. Is BlackCatMining.com secure?

    Yes. First, our cart is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Data you input is encrypted and protected from prying eyes. Your browser will display a small, closed lock when you hit cart pages that ask for personal information.

    Second, upon submission, your credit card information is submitted directly to our Merchant Bank via KLIX, a secure gateway provider just like those used when you swipe your card at a retail shop (in fact they provide gateway services to many retail shops). We do not see your credit card number, nor do we store it. Our bank replies, also via secure gateway, with an approval message and only the first 2, and last 4 digits of the number.


  2. How long will it take for me to recieve my order?

    We generally ship within one business day, often shipping the very same day we receive the order, but actual delivery times will depend on the shipping method selected. UPS goes out in the morning and USPS goes out in the afternoon. Orders ship from Oregon.


  3. Do you take orders by phone?

    Yes, our phone number is 541-255-3391. Please reference number when calling. Our phone hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm Pacific standard time.


  4. Do you accept other payment methods like American Express, Paypal or check?

    Generally speaking, we accept Visa and MasterCard, but do sometimes make special arrangements for payment by check or Paypal. Expect additional delays with either of these payment options. Paypal also charges higher fees than with credit card payments. Because of these fees, we are forced to charge an additional processing fee of $2.50 on Paypal orders. We do not accept American Express, Discover, Diner's Club or other cards. Please call if you would like to make special arrangements.


  5. Will you be at the Gold & Treasure Shows?

    We can often be seen wandering around the Salem, OR show and may have a booth one of these years. Maybe we'll see you there.


  6. Do you have a catalog?

    It's in the works. We hope to have our catalog printed and ready to ship in October. They will be free with purchase, or dirt cheap without. In the mean time, we send out new product updates and special offers to our email list once a month. Drop us an email or give us a call, if you'd like to be added.


  7. Do you carry Product-X?

    Most likely, yes. Space for inventory is limited, so we can't keep every product on hand. We can, however, special order items we do not normally carry on the site, including dredges, metal detectors, etc, so give us a call and we'll see what we can do.


  8. Do you ship overseas?

    Not normally, but we do sometimes make special arrangements. Visit our contact page for information on reaching us.
